Christina Rosi

Athens, Greece

My name is Christina Rosi, and I was born on the 12th of October in 1990, I come from a Greek-Orthodox family, of the minority of Albania. Albania from 1967 to 1990, was under the first Communist and Atheist regime, led by Enver Hoxha. Enver Hoxha during his leadership had forbidden every religious ceremony, both for Greek-Orthodox and Albanian Muslim people. After the fall of Communism in 1990, people started to do religious ceremonies after almost 40 years of abstention. The first Christian rituals took place in 1992, without churches- in the countryside.
I was 5 years old when they performed the ceremony of baptism, and my brother was 3.

• The term Northern Epirus was officially used for the first time on May 17, 1914, with the signing of the Corfu Protocol, identifying the autonomous state created in the region
